Pat’s Bio

Pat Millea is a life-long, wacky Catholic blessed with a vocation of ministry to youth and families. He is a dynamic speaker, a gifted musician and a faith-filled youth ministry leader. He has invited thousands of youth across the country to reflect on their relationship with God and take the next step in faith.

Pat was born in Mobile, Alabama, where he learned to love sweet tea and grits. He played for six years in Springfield, Illinois, and did most of his growing in Davenport, Iowa.

A 2004 graduate from the University of Notre Dame, Pat majored in Sociology and Theology, with a minor in Education, Schooling & Society. He made the most of his college experience, playing trumpet in the ND marching band, studying hard, leading campus ministry retreats, and making Frappuccinos at the campus Starbucks. For four summers during and after college, he worked as a counselor and program director for an ecumenical Christian camp in Iowa.

Pat continued his education through Notre Dame’s Echo program – a graduate program that prepares catechetical leaders for ministry. After two years of rigorous academic study, ministering at a local parish, and living in an intentional faith community, Pat graduated with a Master of Arts in Theology, with a concentration in Catechesis.

Pat has worked in youth ministry at Catholic parishes in South Bend and Indianapolis, Indiana, and is currently blessed to serve the youth of Prior Lake, Minnesota as Director of High School Faith Formation & Confirmation at the Church of St. Michael. Countless youth and adults have been inspired by Pat’s presentations, including keynotes for the Notre Dame Vision conferences, a discernment track at the National Catholic Youth Conference, and various retreats, Confirmation sessions and training programs.

Pat currently prays and plays with his wife, Kenna, and their three wonderful children, Ella Clare, Xavier and Trey, in their hometown of West St. Paul, MN. When he’s not ministering, he fills his time with Notre Dame football, Ultimate Frisbee, reading in coffeeshops, and going to Dave Matthews Band concerts.
